Types of Web Buttons

Based on the purpose of using, shape and their position in the site, web buttons can be classified into 4 basic types; the menus, the tabs, the badges and the buttons. Below we have briefly discussed about the applications of these 4 types of web buttons:

The menus: The menus are web buttons used for building the website menus. You can create menus of your website using individual elements like using whole blocks or bars or using a single button for every page. Which will be the suitable option for the website depends on the preference of the designer or the website owner.

The tabs:
Tabs are mWeb buttonsostly used for creating the sub menus, control panel menus and for accessing different parts of the site. However, if you wish, you can also use tabs for creating website menus. Slicing and laying out the tabs involve some tricky steps; having the tabs in form of images is a lot easier. Every tab must have two versions, the non active version and the active version. They should also carry edges that will blend perfectly with the remaining part of the panels.

Badges:
This button type is significantly different from tabs and menus. Badges are used for promoting campaigns or products, showing an item’s current status, informing the visitors about achieved awards and certificates and offering information on features like guarantee policies and special discounts. Badges must have extremely eye catching appearances; you can get extremely creative with the design of the badges. The fancier will be the badges the more will audiences it will attract.

Buttons: You can use web buttons independently from the tabs and menus. Web buttons should be used for special purposes. The main purpose of your website might be attracting visitors to click on the web button. These buttons must look different than the tabs and menus.
