Have you ever wished to start a blog and then they have either forgotten about it or have not found a driving force to scribble in it for weeks, months or a whole year? Perhaps my current reader is one who will give positive reply to it and shall feel the question as a criticism. Let me tell you it is not you who is the only person who is facing this problem as there are countless people who face blog burn out. But a blog burn out is quite different from the writer’s block. In case of the later the writer lacks the degree of creativity to produce a piece of writing afresh. However, in the former the writer has immense things to write on, but cannot move ahead because of the lack of motivation.

Blog burn out sounds like a simple fatigue of a writer but it has the potential to destroy even a well established blog. A pro blogger can also get plagued by the burn out which will ultimately ruin his capacity of writing and the blogger will left only to regret in near future.

When a writer faces burn out, the thumb rule of cure is to start writing about anything that interests the blogger at the very moment. A blog can be restricted within a specific topic such as finance blog, travel blog and son on. But don’t bottle up the writing within a particular topic when you face burn out. This diversification will help you come out of the fatigue faster.

There are times when our mind brims with a lot of ideas and the next moment runs out of all ideas. Mostly during the former occasion we fail to sum up our ideas and thus no blog entry is posted. If you have faced similar situations then it is time that you take advantage of the occasion when your mind is brimming with ideas. Note the ideas down in paper or save them in computer file so that you can refer them later. Reading of the ideas can open up greater scope of writing in future.

How many of us like to have same dinner everyday? We need to break the routine at times when the daily working schedule becomes monotonous. Similar to it is blog writing and a blogger must keep a tab on the frequency of blog posts. When the frequency is too high, say two posts an each day then a blogger is sure to face bun out.

Inviting a guest blogger can help you make your blog stay alive when you are exhausted of all the ideas. But this cannot help in case of a personal blog. For blogs, other than personal ones, the idea of enlisting a guest blogger can help.

Finally, a blogger should know his functions and practices to enhance his knowledge. A good writer needs to be an avid reader and this applies even for a blogger. After all blogger is a new name for old profession- writing.

The disaster in Japan gave away several messages for the economy and health of people around the world. The people got wired in other countries as the nuclear meltdown was made intense by the media channels. But how many of us do know the connection of Japanese disaster with the content writing on the web? Probably no one knows about this connection and my question seems a sassy one which leaves people with no clue at all. But web writers who are engaged in blog writing need to know the connection. It is all about marketing and bringing the traffic into your site. Every time loans of content never helps and at times searching for concrete information can make your blog a hub for useful info.

The residents of Japan know the fact that media channels have made the disaster much more hyped than it actually is. Whether this is done to earn the Japanese victims some extra grant, or to fulfill the marketing need of media channels that is a debatable issue. But the fact is known to Japanese people and also the foreign residents in that country that their present situation is all too often presented exaggeratedly or in a wrong way by the mainstream media. Web Writers within the field of blog writing for web need to be more focused. A disaster is a good byte for the mainstream media to earn revenue. But the underlying fact of a news channel is to inform people with factual heft that can keep them off from worries. The media channels tendency of inflating news is now a known fact form many individuals.

The disaster in Japan has opened an avenue for the individuals in blog writing field to come up with some informative write-ups that explain the real stories of Japan. Collecting tweets for JPQuake in Twitter will load of news about the latest development in Japan. People and media channels in Japan in Twitter are offering tweets for the Japan quake and these come from places where people are aware of the exact incidents that are taking place there. There are few Japanese media channels that broadcast news in English language like NHKWorld and Japan Today. These channels provide bunch of real development that are taking place in Japan rather than the ones that are over narrative. There are quite straight forward news about Japan’s disaster in blogs like Japan Probe and Gakuranman. These blogs have presented true news of Japan and have also presented criticism of the mains stream media. Such resources will give the blog writers a new and peppy topic to write on while the readers will also find something fresh.

Web has made the world come closer than before. The expanse of the planet has reduced by several folds through the advent of web. Businesses have found a new scope to capture markets and business blogging is one among the many ways to attract prospective clients. Blogging offers immense freedom into the hands of an author and thus in the sphere of business blogging mistakes can take place very often. Whenever there is no predefined rule for writing mistakes are bound to happen. Explore some of the common mistakes of business blogging.

Keeping posts in a blog that are months older is simply making the blog become stale. When blog has offered you the space to speak your mind or to advertise indirectly about your products, do it very often. Don’t keep it inactive for months if you find there is nothing to write upon. When a visitor finds an old posgt in your blog he considers the blog to be a neglected one. It is better to write everyday even if the posts are not too long.

Many business blogs that have created recently write on topics that are of varied interests. But it is advisable to write on niche areas; the areas where you think you have the maximum expertise. Write posts on a number of topics that will offer in depth information to the visitors. That can keep them glued else the back button is not far from their reach.

Lack of professionalism is another mistake noticed in business blogging. It is true that blogs are an informal way to reach out to customers yet a business blogger should make a friendly web presence through nits posts that will keep the visitors engaged. There is no reason to cross the limit of professionalism by making silly mistakes on the posts. This can be done by limiting the blog posts to as many employees existing in the company. Make sure that the posts written are grammatically correct, having no typo and all the write-ups makes are relevant to the business.

Finally, a blog, especially in business blogging, is often written forcibly to keep the blog alive. This often leads to publishing of content that violates the copyright law. Such plagiarized content can cause serious problems in future and moreover such contents serve as a proof that the blogger didn’t research sufficiently.

Business blogging gives the scope of social marketing and it is not a tool for publishing posts only. So make sure that the former task is done without fail by asking customers about their feedback, conducting survey through questionnaire etc. In case there is any question left by customer, immediately answer it as it comes first in your priority list of business blogging.

Blogging is a new way to get socialized and every blogger should remember this underlying fact.

Much hype can be noticed today about social media marketing in every business concern. In today’s scenario of advanced technology, almost all companies are turning online making a room for building online reputation. In this context, blogs and social media play as trump cards for online business owners. Irrespective of size, an online firm mandates the possession of blogs for taking the business ahead.

“Blogging can make a business flourish”; this is not an assumption but rather a proven fact. And especially for online stores that sells physical products blogging gives a huge boosting to the business. It can indeed boost their sales substantially.

Shopping carts nowadays have become much savvy about SEO, however, blog SEO can produce outstanding results. In case you are using WordPress for your blog along with a few plug-in and a proper theme framework, your blog’s SEO will beat the race.

There are certain limitations over the content in a website. For instance your product page cannot contain a headline that is exactly a question that you customer will ask. But you have the freedom on writing the content in your blog. Naturally, a visitor (a prospective customer) will be hooked to your blog where her question is the headline and your blog post is the answer to it.

You can link liberally the blog post to the shopping cart of your product page. And thus you get your traffic directed to you store.

You can use content that can help develop the lifestyle of your customer. Suppose you sell eco-friendly product and your customers are keen to lead an ecologically conscious life. It will be a great idea to hook your customers by giving tips on their lifestyle. Obviously, you tips for leading a life in an eco-friendly way will involve your products. But the informative content will keep off your customers to realize your hidden intention of selling.

Educative posts always attract customers. A common perception among educated people is to read posts that offer training or demonstration. And when you are running an online store, your products are the prime mean to offer demonstrative blog posts. It will be brilliant if you offer a video for demonstration along with the text.

One of the best features of blog is its interactive nature. The access to comment on a post makes you come across the real people who are ether your customer or can turn into your customer later. The suggestion and feedback from your customers on your blog posts are priceless. You need to build a bond with them through your blogs.

It is more like an offline store where you meet your customers in person and with regular interaction come in to their good books. This is also a selling strategy of course that cannot be ignored. And this strategy is more effective than distributing flyers and brochures where the communication is one-way.

Keep blogging regularly and keep a note of the comments. In today’s world of advancement blog is the finest medium to increase sales not by barging into the crowd of competitors with keywords. It is rather an intelligent game where smart moves can make you a winner.

Before televisions, before the computer, before the iPod was not something fantastical from a future far beyond, there were books. This was the source of all information and it was not just that; it was also a prime source of leisure and relaxation. It was a simple activity from a simple time and it seems that the importance of reading has been lost on a generation that loves to text speak “lyk dis, LOL. Aint it gr8? ROFLMAO LOL, J/K”. Reading language such as that hurts my brain cells and makes me fear for our future if this is the generation that will be our tomorrow.

I remember spending hours reading books and traveling thousands of miles in the blink of an eye without so much as moving from a spot. It was entertaining, but it was also stimulating to read books. It is not just that the importance of reading has been lost somewhere along the way; it is also the skills it breeds and the passion it invokes that has been lost. There are just so many exciting things to do that books have ended up taking a back seat to everything. That’s a shame since reading is a great way to improve your vocabulary and your horizons of knowledge. I would advise you to spend at least half an hour a day to read something so that your vocabulary improves. Even if you are tied for time, sign up for those email services that send you a word a day. I recommend wordsmith.org’s word a day service, it’s always entertaining and excellent.

It has been scientifically observed and proven that children and young adults that love reading have a higher IQ than their peers and that’s not mere coincidence. These individuals are always more creative and will end up doing better in college and professionally. I believe that it is critical parents emphasize the importance of reading to their children and get them to read more from an early age. Reading is said to be key in developing vocabulary and comprehension and reading stories aloud to children helps forge an emotional bond between parent and child.

Creative thinking can always be brought on, no matter what you feel about it. A lot of people I know feel they just haven’t got the wherewithal to be creative. Perhaps they come from a background that requires them to be more structured and more logical with their thinking. Perhaps they’ve never had to undertake a task that requires creativity, and so they feel that creative thinking is beyond them. Perhaps they just see others as more creative, something that is not meant for themselves to indulge in.

Whatever the reason though, there is one fact I’d like to being to your attention. If you’re a writer, or are a blogger, or are planning to be a blogger, you’re already more creative than most people that you know of. As a blogger, you’re not just exercising creative thinking in coming up with an idea or expressing it in words, you’re also creating content although that’s not the only creative part of blogging. You’re creating a brand, a strategy and that’s what makes you more creative than most. Then there’s the small matter of making the look and feel of the blog, the newsletter, any pdfs or e-books or podcasts. And that’s just brushing the tip of the issue. There’s a lot more where that came from, so stop saying that you’re not creative.

I don’t know about you, but there are two things that encourage me to visit a blog regularly. One is the site design that is used and the other is the content itself. And the more creative the content the better I like it. I can’t stand web designs from the ’90s or content that seems like regurgitated rubbish. I’m guessing that you can’t either if you’ve read this far. And there is one more thing; there should be a sense of cohesion, the sense that this is a brand, else the content loses its value very fast. I don’t want to read anything about what your cat did yesterday, but I do like “shit my dad says” (the Twitter feed, not the show) since it’s funny and creative.

Make no mistake about it, your blogs will always excel or fail based on your own creativity, and that creative thinking is something that only you can bring to the table. You don’t need to be wacky. You don’t need to be weird. If you’re a straight shooter, or more wry and laconic, that’s alright. Not every post needs a witty turn of phrase or a metaphor that sticks in the mind long after a reader navigates away from a page. But you do need to use your powers of creative thinking to make it something new every time. That means treating your posts with love and care and creating something by pouring your mind into it, not just phoning it in for the sake of it. Be creative, enjoy what you do and you can be pretty sure that your readers will love it too.

This is something that must be incredibly familiar to a lot of people. You pick a topic you like a lot, something you know a reasonable amount about, and you write as well as you can about it. You write with passion, with conviction, with authority and you angles are interesting. It seems like a great post on the face of it, one that should bring in new readers that applaud your vision and way with words. You’ve even been doing a bit of research and you’re smart enough to know that you need to tell people about it. So you send emails to people on your subscriber list, point them in the direction of the post and wait. Feet up on the desk and coffee in hand, you relax. The hits are bound to come. But as opposed to increase popularity of your blog posts, that killer post does nothing.

Absolutely nothing. What a colossal disappointment. There are no links to speak, no replies for you to mull over, and what’s worst is the fact that your stats counter shows no one even clicked on the link you sent out. What just happened? Were you just ignored? Why, yes, you were. And it’s not that impossible to believe really. One of the oldest blogging myths when it comes to ways to increase popularity is that content is king. That sounds terrific on paper. Write well and the rest will follow. But that’s an utopian dream. It could have worked some years back, but just producing a great article won’t get the popularity you feel it deserves. What you have to understand is that the web was quiet some years back. Now, it’s alive with tons of chatter. And you want to be heard above that noise and make sure your best blog posts are noticed.

Great posts by themselves are not enough anymore. Now, content is not enough. There’s plenty of great content out there, just go take a look. What you need is to be connected. That’s a sure-fire way to increase popularity of your blog posts. It’s as they say; it’s not what you know, it’s who you know that matters. Simply put, an average blogger that is friends with the Technorati 100 will be more popular than a really good writer that is not friends with them. That is just an example. The point is that bloggers link to their friends and so if you write something they like, they will forward it because they know you as well. Blogging is not all about having brilliant content. It’s about finding ways to increase popularity and being well-connected.

If you are into content marketing, you have some decisions to make. You can either be passive and hope like hell that your content goes viral. You’ll have to just cross your fingers and hope that little streams of traffic keep growing and that your readers will spread the word like wildfire. That’s a lot of if’s right there, a whole lot of hoping. Perhaps viral campaigns will take off without you having to do anything. But sometimes you will have to bring out the matches and the lighter fluid and set things afire yourself. That’s just the way it is.

As a blogger and/or someone into content marketing, what are you going to choose? Sure, your passion for any given subject could be enough to capture someone’s imagination, compelling them to share your thoughts with a wider audience. Make no mistake, that is fantastic, and sparking such conviction has a combustibility all of its own. When something explodes into life all by itself, there can hardly be any more satisfying feeling. But to tell you the truth, it’s not something you can bank on as it hardly ever happens. And that is the cold hard truth. It’s why you need viral campaigns.

Sometimes, as a blogger and a content marketing person, you need to be able to fan the flames and make your content go viral. And sometimes it means that you must step in to the picture and take action. You know what’s normal for your community; how many tweets, shares, links, hits are normal. So what happens when you exceed those numbers? When the numbers are twice or thrice as high, you have to act. It’s like adding fuel to a fire; you just have to make the damned thing explode into life. When a post gets hits all by itself and it is showing signs of life, you have to build on that early momentum and keep going.

That means you must strike up conversations. Engage those that share your post, strike up a conversation with them, respond to comments, engage in a debate if you will. But whatever you do, keep the conversation running along healthily. Think of your content as a party; no one wants to hang out at a place that isn’t happening. So make it happen! It’s important also to let users subscribe to your feed since they can be clued in to new happenings. But that helps you as well, since this is of use in the field of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Also keep in mind that you have to play nice with all the social media sites, such as Reddit, Digg, Stumble Upon and any other sites you know of. Hit up all the communities and blogs that you lie or that like you and keep fanning that flame. Viral campaigns can be of immense use to you as a blogger or in content marketing; make sure that fire doesn’t ever die out.

The blogging world is all about making money and so we see lots of bloggers concentrate on getting more visitors on their site to get more clicks. So how do you get more readers on your website or a blog and develop its brand identity that it becomes popular and people want to keep following you. The RSS subscription link does not do enough to get people subscribed to your blog, they will but in a very limited amount. Here are some of the things that you can do on your blog that would help you to pull in more people to subscribe to your blog and getting good amount of readers to your blog:

Offer your readers multiple options – not all the readers online on blog like to read RSS feeds so in that case you can offer them email subscription that will help them to read it as and when they need.

The place where you place your RSS feed is also an important priority; you can place it above the fold or the sidebar or somewhere at the side of the content display. The final point here is that your readers should be able to see the RSS feed button.

Use your creativity at best by placing different banner ads; pop-ups in other popular networks where you can ask the visitors of the site to subscribe to your newsletters.

While there are millions of blog that are already online not all your regular readers would want to subscribe to your blog. Even if there is a good content on the site they will be a little hesitant to subscribe to your blog thinking of junk emails and spamming. So in this situation you can convince your readers into subscribing to your blog, you can cover the given below points:

Listing the subscriber count will help even more subscribers subscribe to your blog.

You can use of any social media proof like your blog article in a newspaper or other popular networks.

Explain people how subscribing to your RSS feed would benefit them to reading the blogs on a regular basis.

Help your readers with writing the articles they are looking for, listen to their comments and reply them respectively.

5Give them the best information and the creative quality they might not find in other general blog.

Follow the simplicity rules that I have stated above and you would be quick to gain popularity and respect from your readers.

The growing popularity of blogs have given rise to a number of techniques through which you can drive traffic to your blogs, some methods gives you results in a short span of time while some take time. Although, applying the fast methods to bring in traffic does get good results in less time but in case, if it gets caught even once then your blog is banned for lifetime from any of the popular search engines. You can get backlinks by buying them to get traffic to your blog, it is a simple logic – the more websites links to your blog, the more the traffic and popularity. As you gain high popularity, you will get ranked at the top of the search engines. Getting backlinks is an easy job, you need to find out resources where you can buy the text links or even get links directly from the website owners.

Some nasty bloggers get backlinks by hacking the old wordpress blog and adding links to their site, this will only result in short term gains. I would recommend you to go for long term route rather than going in for short-term route, given below are some of the legitimate ways through which you build links for your site and get a good search engine ranking:

Buying from site owners and link exchange –

This is one of the best and pure legal ways to get links to your site and increase the traffic on your website. You can either buy the links legally by contacting the site owners or through bigger chain networks of blogs. Some popular blogs even go the hard-core ways by exchanging their links in which the site owners exchange links on their blogs to gain popularity.

Quizzes –

This is one cool method in which you gain more traffic by setting up quiz on any other popular blog. You can put up an interesting article on other person’s popular networks through links and even direct the audiences to take up the quiz on your website. This is a powerful means to attract traffic but you need to make sure that the matter you put up is interesting.

Writing reviews –

Writing an article for reviews does fetch good audience in your blog as it will keep building and re-building the links and in no time you will see lots of linked websites. This is an indirect way to build the back links to get high Google search rankings. You need to make sure that you write in-depth information or the review about the product or the service stated on the website and if you are not covering the detailed information then it is best to not write the review at all.

Putting up the Comics –

They are the best means that plays major role in the social media circles, you do not have to necessarily buy the links always as writing comics or linking your fun site is definitely going to be a major hit to gain popularity or building the links.

Setting up the trend –

You are in the industry of glamour, latest news, Hollywood, fashion, etc. then it is one of the best fields to get popular. The famous networks dealing in such fields are definitely searched thousands of time in a single day so the best is to get the links from these sites so that people take keen interest in your website as well. Write a quality write up to feature it on the other networks.

The How-TOs –

This is what most of the companies and industries have been doing all these years, they are the most successful means to build up the backlines. Create a how-to guides on the popular networks that would include detailed information of the product or the industry you belong to.

There are several methods in which you can increase the backlinks count for your blog or a network. You have to use the creative ideas to get people coming to your blog. Buying back links is a good easy means to get backlinks but taking up a longer route yields good fruitful results. Always make sure that the content you write is purely natural and creative and is 100% related to the business, product or a service your site is related to.
