Some people have a nauseating outlook as they think “blogs are meant for silicon valley people and not for small fires like me”. This is purely a notion and people with this thought, in my opinion, are sheer lazy fellows. Well, it is not a lie that Silicon Valley start-ups and many bloggers (rated as A) have made money through blogging and Adsense, but blog cannot be elite people’s property as it is meant to be the manifesto of any person’s passion. But more than anything else personal blog can be good way to make a career. This is often not realized by people who are reluctant to start a blog in the fear of trespassing into someone else’s domain.

The personal blogs in the first hand is a good way writers can make their place stronger in their field. They can make their portfolio as writers through blogs. As a thumb rule they must be maintaining the rule of making the blog lively by posting daily. There are people who were forced to leave their jobs for the sake of their blog’s success. The consulting service that a personal blog offers is highly rewarding experience. I know some of my friends who preferred signing off from their corporate jobs just to be in the practice of consulting through their personal blogs.

There are other professions that involve exhibiting any art can be boosted through blogs. People who are in to the profession of web designing can use their blog to showcase their work, while who are into painting and sculpting, can use their personal blog as a pageantry of their artwork. The blogs have a quaint property, which leads most people to the self employment leaving the idea of going for a job. I have seen this as most of the occasions people start of their blog with the hope of making a portfolio for searching better jobs. But as the popularity of the blog shoots up, they leave their job and concentrate in monetizing it.

I have advocated the benefits of blogs extremely and now it is the time for my readers to know the evils it can abode for you. As long as you are thinking of making a blog, it doesn’t harm you. But the moment you make the blog you must take it as your online property. And people pay sufficient heed to their property to keep it free of any damage. Your online property rather than your personal blog can be best maintained if it is popular. When a user comes to your blog he or she must not have a disgust looking at the date of your last post. It should not be three months earlier. This shows that you are not a regular blog writer and to find any interesting post, a user needs to check your blog after a quarter of a year. Human memory is too poor to remember your blog for so long and I bet they will forget it. So your money and energy gets wasted. Even it can harm your profession if your have set it up for the employers to come and see it.

So whatever may be the intention of making a blog , be sure to pay proper attention to it once you launch that.

Writers need to be creative and in order to be so they need to come up with writing ideas every single day. For professional writers, writing on a different and interesting topic is a daily cup of tea. But even the famous writers face the problem of writing blockage when they run out of writing ideas. Hours pass by, but not a single world is scribbled on a paper or typed in PC. In case my fellow reader is a writer, then don’t feel alienated since you doubt that you are the only writer who feels the same. The problem of writing blockage is a common disease that succumb the creativity of a writer. Once you are blighted by this disease, you need to combat it thoughtfully and not out of frustration. There are several means b which u can fight this problem of blockage.

One of the simplest and effective mean to fight the blockage of ideas is to take a break. Since writing is a daily work there is a scope that a writer gets bored out of the same job. Furthermore, there are occasions when words get blocked and to get back the proper flow of word we need to relax out brain. This can be done refreshing the mind; a light movie or hanging out with friends can be a good idea in this regard.

I have witnessed that the atmosphere within which you write has an impact on your writing. This might sound very impractical, but follow my advice of changing your place and that can create wonders. If you have the habit of writing while being seated at tour favorite nook in your room, then shift your laptop forte usual table and chair and trying typing some thing while being seated at your backyard lawn. It can give you a sudden gush of ideas.

You might be writing a lot on everyday about business management and today you find your words and topics exhausted. It is high time that you shift in to a different topic. Some times confinement within a same kind of writing makes all our creativity come arrive at a halt. The best writing idea in such an occasion is to shift to a topic of your preference. This will also act as refreshment. If you are a business law writer there is no hard and fast rule to chance your topic to human resource management. You can happily change the topic in to celebrity gossip and refreshment is bound to come within few hours.

I have encountered several occasions when I don’t feel to pen down my scattered thoughts but it would have been fine if could speak them up. A good writer will not afford to abandon such precious moment and will always keep a vice recorder readily available to capture those thoughts instantly. There are times when your mind is set perfectly to express good thoughts while in other times it is not. Dont let go those moments off your hand.

The internet is a sea of knowledge as information is abundantly available on the web. Be it a special recipe or a tourist spot or a garment shop address, internet presents information on every possible issue within seconds. Besides being a knowledge center, internet is also a place for making money. Online business is presently flourishing as websites are rapidly increasing and correspondingly the search engine optimizers are making money as well. Blogs are also a source of earning money online, however, blogs are different in nature from websites.

Blog writing nowadays is a common practice and number of blogs is increasing in a rapid rate. Blogs are not just a monopoly of big business houses as common people also possess blogs. Since blogs are possessed by several types of people starting from individuals to huge corporate houses, the type of writing in blogs has no pre-defined format. Naturally this wide exposure of blogs has presented different forms of blog writing.

The regular form of writing in blogs is personal blog writing. People generally use this kind of writing to introduce themselves online through blogs. Visitors of blogs have access to provide comment on these writing pieces. As a result a blog writer needs to be very cools and calm as he needs to accept all types of comment made on his writing. At the same time such a blog entry with a thread of different comments become an interesting document. In many cases a comment becomes n essential piece of information rather than the blog entry. Besides, the thread of comments takes the shape and structure of a discussion that is again appealing to readers.

A blog is not just owned by an individual as corporate houses also have their blogs. Corporate houses use their blogs as an effective tool for marketing. This is far more different than personal blogs as corporate blogs generally publish the views of directors and other eminent members of the corporate house. Some times information on new product and service is also published in these blogs.

Vlog is another type of blog where the primary content is media. The media content mainly includes video that are open for public viewing.

With time, the blog has ramified to give birth to several categories like education blogs, blogs, fashion blogs, travel blogs and most interestingly political blogs. But the underlying fact of all these blogs is marketing. So, the writers of all these blogs take account of the prospective reader’s mindset while writing for any blog entry. This is the primary and perhaps the most significant factor on which a blog’s success relies on.

Before televisions, before the computer, before the iPod was not something fantastical from a future far beyond, there were books. This was the source of all information and it was not just that; it was also a prime source of leisure and relaxation. It was a simple activity from a simple time and it seems that the importance of reading has been lost on a generation that loves to text speak “lyk dis, LOL. Aint it gr8? ROFLMAO LOL, J/K”. Reading language such as that hurts my brain cells and makes me fear for our future if this is the generation that will be our tomorrow.

I remember spending hours reading books and traveling thousands of miles in the blink of an eye without so much as moving from a spot. It was entertaining, but it was also stimulating to read books. It is not just that the importance of reading has been lost somewhere along the way; it is also the skills it breeds and the passion it invokes that has been lost. There are just so many exciting things to do that books have ended up taking a back seat to everything. That’s a shame since reading is a great way to improve your vocabulary and your horizons of knowledge. I would advise you to spend at least half an hour a day to read something so that your vocabulary improves. Even if you are tied for time, sign up for those email services that send you a word a day. I recommend wordsmith.org’s word a day service, it’s always entertaining and excellent.

It has been scientifically observed and proven that children and young adults that love reading have a higher IQ than their peers and that’s not mere coincidence. These individuals are always more creative and will end up doing better in college and professionally. I believe that it is critical parents emphasize the importance of reading to their children and get them to read more from an early age. Reading is said to be key in developing vocabulary and comprehension and reading stories aloud to children helps forge an emotional bond between parent and child.

This is something that must be incredibly familiar to a lot of people. You pick a topic you like a lot, something you know a reasonable amount about, and you write as well as you can about it. You write with passion, with conviction, with authority and you angles are interesting. It seems like a great post on the face of it, one that should bring in new readers that applaud your vision and way with words. You’ve even been doing a bit of research and you’re smart enough to know that you need to tell people about it. So you send emails to people on your subscriber list, point them in the direction of the post and wait. Feet up on the desk and coffee in hand, you relax. The hits are bound to come. But as opposed to increase popularity of your blog posts, that killer post does nothing.

Absolutely nothing. What a colossal disappointment. There are no links to speak, no replies for you to mull over, and what’s worst is the fact that your stats counter shows no one even clicked on the link you sent out. What just happened? Were you just ignored? Why, yes, you were. And it’s not that impossible to believe really. One of the oldest blogging myths when it comes to ways to increase popularity is that content is king. That sounds terrific on paper. Write well and the rest will follow. But that’s an utopian dream. It could have worked some years back, but just producing a great article won’t get the popularity you feel it deserves. What you have to understand is that the web was quiet some years back. Now, it’s alive with tons of chatter. And you want to be heard above that noise and make sure your best blog posts are noticed.

Great posts by themselves are not enough anymore. Now, content is not enough. There’s plenty of great content out there, just go take a look. What you need is to be connected. That’s a sure-fire way to increase popularity of your blog posts. It’s as they say; it’s not what you know, it’s who you know that matters. Simply put, an average blogger that is friends with the Technorati 100 will be more popular than a really good writer that is not friends with them. That is just an example. The point is that bloggers link to their friends and so if you write something they like, they will forward it because they know you as well. Blogging is not all about having brilliant content. It’s about finding ways to increase popularity and being well-connected.

One thing that is very common amongst all the bloggers is that everyone wants to be successful at their blogs and earn big money, although there are some bloggers who are blogging out of passion and write blogs without any expectations. But more or less, there are expectations, a serial blogger like me would surely know what I am talking about, MONEY! Oh yes, is it? I am giving you my frank opinion that people do blog to make money and with increase in monetization of blogs with banner ads, google ads, E-marketing and others there is surely every chance to make big money from your blogs. The standard approach to sincere blogging needs would mean that you write passionately and clearly without copying other articles and add point of being a creative writer. Here are some of the tips that would help you get huge success in your blogs:

Do not divert
The big mistake many bloggers make and the biggest turn off factor for users is the diversion of topics. This especially happens with new young writers, they have this tendency to make their blogs longer and stretch it to no limit. This phenomena, bores your readers and as a result they might never want to return back. So STAY ON THE TOPIC of discussion and keep your readers tuned to your talks.

Share information
The most tempting part in any blog is the information. Research on your subject topics well before you start blogging so that you can reply to the comments by your users and that users feel that you are providing them with the first hand information.

Do not make a fuss
Share the genuine information with your readers, no old news is good news. Readers are very smart than you think of them to be. So do not try to share outdated information that will only let your impression down.

Fixed schedule
The best success story of any successful blog is that they are scheduled meaning blog are posted in particular rhythm so the users of the blog would know when the new post is going to arrive on the blog.

Clear and simple language
Simplicity is the essence of a good blog, do not make your blog look like a cluttered piece of shit. Make it appealing in terms of design, the content and interaction tools.

Original content with keywords
Research well on the keywords that belong to your niche and write the keyword rich content that will have more probability of a good search engine ranking.

The quantity
Along with the quality of your blog even the quantity counts, if your information is too much to share than break it into parts and post it. But do not post lengthy articles, which is not going to interest your users by any chance.

Check your blog on a regular basis and interact with your users by giving them importance. Update your blog on a frequent basis.

Proof reading is also an important aspect of giving great articles to your readers, often writers mislead information by spelling mistakes and that would directly affect the reader count on your blog.

Allow your readers to subscrie to your RSS feeds that have more chances of your blog getting popular amongst the users and other people and social media networking sites.

Sometimes, we do not tend to realize that how often do we blog and what necessary steps are we taking to improve upon our blogs. People feel that there are not making enough money or their blogs not getting popular even after they did so and so efforts. The blogging world is very synonymous with some factory unit that have to generate products on a daily basis and people need to utilize those products in order for factory to again generate. It’s a daily cycle with blogs too, unless you give your best product to your clients you cannot be popular and so your blogs get stagnant at one position without ever growing further. Starting a blog takes very little efforts but maintaining them in a longer run takes quite a bit of time and patience to start making good money out of it.

Here are some list of the key points as to why your blogs may not be growing and how to identify the defect in your blog working cycle. These are the biggest mistakes people mess with in their blog, try and identify yours to start growing your blog and making good money too:

Irregular publication
It does not mean that you have to publish your blog on a daily basis, but you have to maintain one sequence. Suppose, your blog gets very popular and people start pouring in on a daily basis in order to read fresh blog put by you and suddenly they see that no blogs are posted some day they may be disappointed and it may lead to the lose of your readers and audiences. Maintaining a cycle of suppose three posts per week will relax you and help them to understand on what days they should expect new posts.

Making it difficult to share your own content
Most of the times you tend to make things difficult on your way to achieving results. Publish the content that your readers expect to read from your blog. Start sharing your content on your reader’s favorite social media sites as this is the best way to promote your blog and also help to get more audience on your website.

You concentrate on “me too” types of content
There are millions of blog that are getting generated every month; you have a tough competition there. Why someone would come and want to read your blog. There has to be something special, isn’t it? Just do not go by the wind, create your own niche and understand your readers, answer their comments, post the content they are wishing to read from your blog. Be different and be yourself.

You don’t tend to write what you actually think
Talk to your audience as if you are talking one-on-one. Just be natural in your thoughts and writing process. Do not hesitate that something you put on your blog would create controversy, speak your thoughts and not your mind. Make everything possible on your blog to make it popular and wanted.

No search engine optimization
Your blog is not going to be suddenly popular just by putting quality content. You have to optimize your site with the popular keywords that people are searching over the Internet. Create your niche, the categories you want to write in your blog and based on those categories find out the keywords relating to those topics. A good search engine optimization in addition to clean, unique and creative content helps in making your blog popular.
